Sculpture in the Landscape

We design custom lighting programs for sculpture in the landscape for museums, universities and private collectors.  We create a unique nighttime presence for each work by tailoring our response to the form and materiality of the work, the ambient light of the site and the artist’s vision.  We have a passion for restraint and look always to determine, first, whether or not a sculpture should be lit at all, or simply allowed to sit quietly in the landscape, softly illuminated by the ambient light of the night sky or the neighboring streetscape. We are currently lighting sculptures by:

Linda Benglis - Louise Bourgeois - Carol Bove - Elmgreen & Dragset - Barbara Hepworth - Michael Heizer - Jim Hodges - Ellsworth Kelley - Alicja Kwade - Simone Leigh - Jim Lambie - Maya Lin - Richard Long - Roxy Paine - Ugo Rondinone - Thomas Schütte - Kenneth Snelson - Richard Serra - Frank Stella

Public Art

We are frequent collaborators with Maya Lin on projects that include Ecliptic at Rosa Parks Circle in Grand Rapids, the Ellen S. Clark Memorial Hope Plaza in St. Louis and the Bell Tower at Shantou University. We have also collaborated with Kiki Smith, Arlene Shechet and other public artists to realize their vision for short-term public art installations.

Commissions

Our own public art commissions are designed to enhance and enrich the experience of urban infrastructure at night.
